Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s policies, stating that they are causing hardship for Nigerians.

According to Governor Mohammed, the president’s policies are not only affecting the people but also the state governors.

Speaking while receiving a delegation of Islamic scholars, Governor Mohammed said, “Your policies are not working and people are suffering. I am not insulting anybody and it is not arrogance but as leaders, it is a duty upon us to tell ourselves the truth.”

He specifically cited the Tax Reform Bills currently before the National Assembly as an example of the president’s bad policies.

The governor urged President Tinubu to listen to Nigerians and correct his mistakes.

He also expressed his intention to meet with Sheikh Jingir, one of the Islamic scholars, to discuss the matter further, saying “You are among the few personalities that can approach the president on this issue. You are one of the people that the president listens to.”

The governor added that the economy of his country has made Nigerians so frustrated to the point that they may lynch people of his class.
