Governor Yahaya Bello Approves 100% Increment in NYSC Allowance in Kogi | Daily Report Nigeria

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has announced a remarkable 100% increment in the allowances of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Kogi state.

The governor made the announcement on Tuesday during the closing ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 of the NYSC at the State’s Orientation Camp, Asanya, in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

In addition to the allowance increment, Governor Bello announced a generous donation of N37.7 million as logistics support for the Youth Corps members as they move to their respective places of primary assignments.

Governor Bello called upon private sector employers to join hands in prioritising NYSC members’ welfare, recognising their pivotal role in nation-building.

Furthermore, the Governor delivered a poignant message to the Corps members, urging them to uphold good conduct and embrace Nigeria’s unity spirit.

He emphasised the values of diligence, hard work, commitment, and understanding during their service years, highlighting that these qualities will prepare them to overcome future challenges beyond their NYSC service period.

Governor Bello also commended the State Coordinator of the NYSC, Pastor (Mrs) Adebimpe Williams, for her efforts in improving the camp’s infrastructure and assured that other developmental requests would receive due attention.

A total of 1888 corps members, comprising 977 males and 911 females, were deployed to Kogi State.
