A Catholic Church priest identified as Reverend Fr. Joseph Akeke was on Tuesday March 7, kidnapped by Gunmen suspected to be bandits.

The incident reportedly happened at Kudendan community, in Kaduna State.

According to a resident of the community who simply identified himself as Samson, the kidnappers killed two security guards before gaining access to the Reverend Father’s house. A woman and her two children was also kidnapped.

“We couldn’t sleep last night due to tension and gunshots. The Reverend father of Kudenda Catholic church was abducted. His guard killed. Another man too in the community was killed while a woman and her two children were abducted,” he said.
When contacted, Police spokesman, ASP Jalige Mohammed, said he would find out the details before commenting.
