A man, suspected to be a cleric has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen at the Nnobi Roundabout in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday when the victim stopped at Nnobi junction to buy some fruits.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, who did not mention their names for security reasons, the victim was heading towards the Awka-Etiti direction when the hoodlums stormed the location he was buying the fruits.

“The man stopped at Nnobi junction and parked his Lexus RX 300 with plate number Anambra GDD 882 PW while coming from Awka-Etiti” the source said.

“He was making a phone call while alighting from the vehicle, and his vehicle was still steaming, when the men swooped on him and picked him.
“The men shot randomly at the junction before taking him away, causing traders to scamper for safety.
“They forcefully bundled him into their jeep, leaving his car on the road before driving off.”
Although there was no record of casualty, many people were said to have sustained various degrees of injury as they ran helter-skelter in different directions when the hoodlums began shooting.
