Gunmen Kidnap Priest In Anambra

• A gang of gunmen have abducted a priest in Anambra State.

• The priest, Ven. David Arinze Ajaefobi was said to have been kidnapped in front the church Saturday.

Ven. David Arinze Ajaefobi, an Archdeacon of Oyi Central Archdeaconry and Vicar of St James’ Parish in Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State has been abducted by gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the priest, who was inducted as the vicar of St. James Parish on April 10, 2022, was abducted at the gate of the church at around 9:30pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

A senior police officer confirmed the incident to Newman on Sunday, October 27.

His abductors have reportedly not established any contact as of the time of filing this report

Also speaking on the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Tochukwu Ikenga said the command had not received the report on the incident.
