The Speaker of the Gbaramatu Youths Council Parliament, Frank Ekpemupolo has arrived Casa De Pedro hotel, venue of the parliament’s sitting slated for today, Wednesday October 25, 2023.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the legislative arm of the GYC will deliberate the tenure extension of the Shadrach Ebikeme-led executives.

Ebikeme and his team had their tenure extended by 18 months following a meeting by stakeholders last week.

In a statement on Sunday, the parliament faulted the move to extend the tenure without its input, stressing that duration in office for elected officers of the GYC is a constitutional issue that must be treated appropriately.

As of press time, the GYC speaker accompanied by other colleagues were seated awaiting the kick-off of plenary.
