The claim that the Federal Government was set to conduct free deoxyribonucleic acid tests otherwise known as DNA test for Nigerians has been debunked by the Minister of State for Health, Dr Olorunmimbe Mamora.

Earlier in the week, the news of the free DNA test (a test done to ascertain the paternity or maternity of a child) was all over social media, especially Twitter.

“DNA tests will b conducted freely @ Government hospital n clinics as from June 2022..Ayeye!!!!!!,” Dr. Daniel Marven(PhD) tweeted. Chijioke, P.HD also in his tweet wrote, “There will be free DNA test in government owned hospitals from June this year. -Nigerian Health Minister.”
