Police, Army Fingered as Herdsmen Kill 28 in Benue

Elder Francis Amamosa, a pioneer chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 10, was brutally attacked and killed by suspected herdsmen.

It was said that the tragic incident has occurred in Abavo, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Amamosa was in his farm near the railway line in Okpe quarters, Abavo when the herdsmen attacked.

Reports indicated that the suspected herdsmen also abducted two other individuals from the scene.

According to sources, the herdsmen attempted to abduct Amamosa from his farm, but he resisted, leading to a violent confrontation.

When their gunfire failed to harm him, the assailants allegedly used machetes to inflict fatal wounds on the politician.

Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, has not yet confirmed the incident, as he has not responded to calls, SMS, or WhatsApp messages.
