A commercial car driver, Hamisu Ahmed travelling at high speed has crushed a motorcycle carrying a family of four.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday evening, May 22, 2023, in Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The victims were
45-year-old Gambo Mutari, his 25-year-old wife, Fiddausi Abdullah, his mother-in-law, Hauwa Maigari, and their 2-year-old child.

They were rushed to Babura General Hospital but were confirmed dead.
It was said that the vehicle was travelling to Gumel when it collided with the victims’ motorcycle going to the Kolori village.
The spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC in Jigawa, Adamu Shehu confirmed the incident in a press statement on Monday, May 22.
Shehu said:
“A fatal accident occurred yesterday, Sunday, May 21, at around 5 pm in Babura Town, along Babura-Gumel Road, and four people died on the spot.”
He added that the victims were thereafter buried according to Islamic injunctions.
