Nigerian rapper, Oladips whose real name is Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji has been reported dead.

Oladips’s passing occurred on November 14, 2023, leaving fans and the music industry in shock.

The exact cause of his death remains unclear, but it was made known that he had been silently battling an undisclosed illness for the past two years.

In an emotional Instagram post, Oladips’s management expressed their grief, describing him as a “light to the very end” and emphasizing that he was “finally at peace.”

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS has passed away on Nov. 14 Tuesday evening at exactly 10:14 p.m. We are still in shock as we speak.

“For over two years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family and funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded! The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May god give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss.”

Born on March 24, 1995, he hailed from Ogun State and made notable contributions to the Afrobeats genre.

Fans, fellow artists, and admirers have flooded social media with tributes, celebrating Oladips’s talent and mourning the loss of a rising star.

Furthermore, the rapper’s death comes before the anticipated release of his album, SUPERHERO ÀDÚGBÒ (The Memoir).

The late Oladips’ SUPERHERO ÀDÚGBÒ was scheduled to be released on Thursday, November 16.

Some of his songs include Àjàlá Travel EP; Urban Pops & Jams; Afropop Grooves; Bump Love And Grind Time; Die Young; She Tell Me Say; and Alubarika, amongst others.
