“I Dey Alive:” Comedian Sabinus Debunks Death Rumours

Popular Nigerian comedian, Mr Funny aka Sabinus, on social media, debunked rumours of his demise which recently trended online.

A few days ago, it was noted that one of the users from a popular site, Nairaland, claimed the comedian had been poisoned by an unknown friend.

It was gathered that after the claim was posted, the comedian was alerted by calls from loved ones who were in tears and also wanted to confirm the news.

Sabinus, thereafter, came out in a live Instagram video to reassure his fans by rejecting the initial post.

After noting that the news was fake, Sabinus added that he doesn’t drink alcohol.

He said:
“Ne me be this, I dey alive abeg, nothing dey happen to me, nothing dey do me. Omo dem just dey carry fake news say dem poison my drink. First of all, I don’t take alcohol so which drink dem wan poison? Na water dey go poison? So please, every of those rumours are all lies.”
