Lateef Adedimeji, an award-winning Nollywood actor, has talked about how he used to borrow money and clothes before going to movie auditions and almost quit acting when the pressure got too much.

In a story titled “Na who give up fuck up,” the well-known actor reminisced with his fans about the times he felt shamed and bullied as an actor.

Actor Lateef Adedimeji Escapes Death


Adedimeji started acting 15 years ago and won Best Actor at 2022 Best of Nollywood Awards. In a post on his Instagram page detailing his journey, the Kudi Klepto actor claimed that he was never compensated for roles in early films: I remember begging for money and food to survive in the days when I borrowed money to go on movie sets and borrow clothes to wear while I wasn’t paid.

The actor who tied the knot with his girlfriend last year said that he was thankful that he was paid one thousand naira for the lead role.

He wrote, “Then the times I finally started getting paid one thousand, two thousand, and five thousand for a lead role, I remember receiving the payments with so much joy, happiness, and gratitude.”
