“You need to come into the industry with much more, not just as an artist. You also have to be business-minded,” Cabasa stated. He further elaborated that it’s not just about making music, but also about understanding how to turn that music into a source of income.

ID Cabasa also touched on the importance of making informed decisions, particularly when it comes to signing contracts with record labels. He highlighted the significance of choice, urging artists to recognize their power in making decisions that could shape their careers.

“One of the good things that God has given you is choice. You have the choice to either stay back or stand up and walk away. It’s not the business that’s the problem, it’s our mindset,” he said.

Through his advice, ID Cabasa encouraged artists to approach the music industry with a sharper focus on both their creative output and their financial well-being, stressing that the right mindset is key to long-term success.
