NBA Reacts to Ifunanya’s Suspension

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has spoken on its rumored suspension of Ifunanya, a young female lawyer over her nudity, and marijuana display.

According to reports that went viral last weekend, the young Ifunanya was sanctioned for posting photos of herself either unclad or smoking marijuana.

While some believed her actions were detrimental to the image of the legal profession in Nigeria, others, mostly females, argued that she has not committed any offense, as she was also a model showcasing art in her unique style.

The NBA however confirmed that she has not been penalized for her actions.

In a recent interview with DAILY POST, the leadership of the NBA confirmed that Ifunanya has not been sanctioned.

The National Publicity Secretary, Habeeb Lawal stated that the information suggesting otherwise was entirely false.

He said:
“No, we have not suspended her, we have not. However, we will issue a position on the matter.”
