The Ijaw National Congress has mourned the demise of one of its ardent members, Comrade Barle Ebiakpo.

The deceased died in the early hours of Saturday, June 18, 2022.

In a condolence message by its National Publicity Secretary, Engr. Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha, the apex Ijaw body described the death of Ebiakpo as a ‘rude shock.’

Oyakemeagbegha described the deceased as a patriotic comrade who committed himself to the struggle for a better Ijaw nation.

Condoling with the family of Comrade Ebiakpo, the INC said;

“The news of his death came as a rude shock to us. Barle Ebiakpo was a committed comrade of the Ijaw struggle, a patriotic Ijaw activist, and an Ijaw crusader of self-determination.

“We pray to God to give the family members the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“May his soul rest in peace,” the statement added.
