The appointment of a former President of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC), Oweilaemi Pereotubo as a Special Adviser to the Minister of State for Petroleum has been hailed as a ‘square peg in a square hole’.
This was posited by Hon. Ken Oyakemeagbegha, the Chief of Staff to the former President of the apex Ijaw youth group.
In a congratulatory message to Oweilaemi on Saturday, Oyakemeagbega also extended encomiums to the Minister of Petroleum for State (oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri for finding his boss worthy.
Oyakemeagbegha, who expressed confidence in the ability of his boss to deliver on his new responsibilities, said;
“I heartily congratulate my boss and leader, Barr Oweilaemi Pereotubo on his appointment as Special Adviser, Niger Delta Affairs to the Minister of Petroleum, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri.
“I have absolute confidence in your capability to deliver even in this new role judging by your impeccable records in the past.
“Your appointment is a square peg in a a square hole, and is merely a testament and a window to exercise your vast knowledge of our region.
“I also specially commend the honourable minister for having an eye for an exceptionally qualified Niger Deltan who will effortlessly and efficiently navigate this role,” Oyakemeagbegha added.
