The Ijaw National Congress has mourned the demise of HRM Pere Charles Ayemi-Botu, the paramount ruler of Seimbiri Kingdom.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Engr Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha, the INC described the monarch’s passing as shocking news.
The apex Ijaw sociocultural group also condoled with the kingdom for the sad incident.
According to Oyakemeagbegha, “the lNC received the news of the death of HRM Pere Charles Ayemi-Botu with great shock.

“Ayemi-Botu, a traditional ruler per excellence, passed on when his people and the ljaw nation needed him most.
“He was a very courageous man with recognised developmental strides before and during his reign across the Niger Delta.
“Though, the entire Ijaw nation will miss him, we are consoled with the fact that he lived a fulfilled life and made a tremendous impact during his reign.
“The INC consoles the immediate family, the Traditional Council and the entire people of Esembiri for this great loss.”
