The suspect was allowed to share videos and photos on the platform despite being in detention. This, however, was once he does not represent dangerous organisations or individuals.
The Nigerian was nabbed in Dubai by a joint team of Police and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation for defrauding unsuspecting public members, including American citizens.
Hushpuppi was then extradited and charged with multiple counts of hacking, impersonation, scamming banking fraud, and identity theft.
Two years after, the social media platform deactivated the account.
