Atletico Madrid boss, Diego Simeone is said to be interested in bringing Genk’s Paul Onuachu to his team.
Reports from Spanish news outlets Marca on Wednesday revealed that the Nigerian-born Onuachu has even been contacted to that effect.
However, the latest reports from Italy disclosed Inter Milan’s interest in competing with Athletico Madrid to sign 2020 / 2021 Genk’s leading scorer.
Simone Inzaghi wants to replace Alexis Sanchez who is exiting the club in a jiffy with the Nigerian giant.
The 27-year-old forward’s contract with Genk runs till June 2024 and has been valued at €25 million.

That is to say, Genk’s forward will have his contract terminated at the meeting of the demand by any suitor.
The asking price did not suppress Athletico Madrid’s burning interest, however, they are willing to cut down the price.
The goal poacher who joined Genk from Veije in 2019 has since netted 51 times in 68 competitions.
He scored 35 goals last season and has already banged in 11 in all competitions this season.
