Rebecca Nicodemus, a 25-year-old junior housewife, is said to have stabbed her rival, Precious, to death over a sex turn disagreement with their husband in Ode-Irele, Ondo State.
According to reports, the two women shared a room and a parlour apartment with their husbands.
Obadasa Ajiboye, a police prosecutor, told a Chief Magistrate court in Akure that the defendant killed the deceased by stabbing her in the left backside with a knife, which resulted in her death.
Ajiboye stated that she committed the crime around 5.00 a.m. at Idogun Camp in Ondo State via Ode-Irele.

According to the prosecution, the trouble began when the accused, who was the younger wife, suspected that their husband was depriving her of sex while focusing all of his energy and attention on the senior wife.
When it was her turn to sleep with their husband, the accused allegedly confronted the deceased after a round of sex with him.
In a fit of rage, she allegedly stabbed her to death.
She had been remanded in custody by an Akure Magistrate’s Court following her arraignment for the alleged murder of her rival.
The defendant, who stated in court that she is a farmer, stated that she moved to Ondo State from Yorro Local Government Area in Taraba State in January 2022 to join her husband.
In the Police First Information Report, the accused person stated, I am married to Paul Nicodemus.
“I arrived in Ondo State in January 2022 and we were leaving in the same house; I’m a farmer, and we’ve been relating in harmony alongside the deceased.”
On that fateful day, my husband and I were making love in the living room, but he abruptly excused himself, claiming that we were not free to continue our lovemaking in the living room.”
I sat in their living room, waiting for him, but I was enraged when I discovered that my husband, whom I was expecting, was having an affair with Precious inside the bedroom.
I also overheard them making disparaging remarks about me.
So I waited in the sitting room for Precious to emerge from the room, and when she did, I confronted her about her unkind words.
Rather than apologizing, she abruptly grabbed my clothes, which irritated me even more.
So I took a knife from the table in our living room and stabbed her in the back.
As soon as she collapsed from the impact of the wound, sympathizers and family members rushed her to the hospital, but when she arrived, the doctor on duty confirmed her death.
It was not my intention to kill her; I was enraged and overreacted.
Meanwhile, the charge sheet stated, in part, that you, Rebecca Nicodemus, did kill by stabbing one Precious Nicodemus with a knife at her left backside on the same date, time, and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, resulting in her death, and thus committed an offence, contrary to and punishable under Sections 316 and 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
The defendant did not enter a plea, but the police prosecutor made an oral application to remand the defendant in prison custody pending the outcome of advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions’ office (DPP).
According to him, the deceased’s body has been deposited at the mortuary.
Mr. E. E Danjuma, the defendant’s counsel, did not object to the prosecutor’s application for the accused person’s remand.
In his ruling, Magistrate Damilola Sekoni ordered the accused person to be remanded in police custody and adjourned the case until February 22, 2022, for a decision on the remand application.
