Police Denies Shooting Corps Member, Say Victim Knocked Down, Stabbed An Officer

The Nigeria Police, Ondo State Command, has reacted to an attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in the Owo Local Government Area of the state.

DAILY REPORT NG had reported that unknown gunmen had attacked the on Sunday, killing scores of worshippers.

Confirming the incident, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Odunlami Ibukun, said details of the casualty would be communicated in a statement shortly.

According to her: “we are currently at the scene of the incident to access damages made. It is not like what have been trending on social media. We will soon issue statement to give you details of what happened.”
