Pawol started in the Minor Leagues back in 2016 and has worked her way up from Rookie ball all the way to Triple-A.
She partook in MLB Spring Training for the first time in 2023—the first woman to do so since 2007.
Her new role finally ends more than a century of all-male umpiring and puts MLB alongside other leagues that already welcome women officials.
“This isn’t just a game—it’s a statement,” – a league insider said.
Pawol laid out her mindset perfectly: “In baseball, you keep it simple, work hard, and get ready for tomorrow.”
Her success shows that talent and willpower can get past any obstacle.
