Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja, to see President Muhammadu Buhari.
Daily Report gathered that the peace envoy arrived at the Aso Rock Villa at about 3 pm as both had a closed-door meeting inside the council chamber.
While the reason for the visit and discussions have been kept private, it is believed that the move is in relation to the former President’s activities as an ECOWAS Special Envoy to Mali.

Jonathan is currently leading mediation talks in Mali even as the West African country remains under military rule following an August 2020 coup that ousted President Ibrahim Keita.
Jonathan also forms part of the West African Elders Forum, and was in Gambia three weeks ago to curtail election-related crises, as the country voted in the December 4, 2021, presidential election.
