The maiden edition of the Jude Gbaboyor Soccer Championship has been fixed to commence June 11, 2023.
The tournament put together by the Jude Gbaboyor Football Academy will feature 16 teams from across the Niger Delta.
The tourney will hold at the Isaba Grammar School field, the home ground of the Jude Gbaboyor Football Academy, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Announcing the the tournament, the management of the academy said;

“The tournament aims to support and encourage grassroots-level football, while focusing on identifying the most promising football talents to be included in an exclusive international scouting program.
“We the organizers are thrilled about the prospect of hosting such an exciting event, and are eagerly anticipating a significant turnout of football lovers from around the region and beyond.
“Not only will this help invigorate the community, but it will also provide a lively and thrilling experience for all those in attendance.
“All in all, the tournament is poised to be a fantastic platform for discovering some of the most talented footballers, while also promoting the growth of the sport at the grassroots level.”
