Fire has rocked Shakatu Filling Station, causing destruction to properties in the area.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the incident, which reportedly happened along Kiyawa Road, in the Dutse area of Jigawa state.

The incident happened at about 8pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025, along Kiyawa Road, Dutse.

 

Confirming the incident to PUNCH, an eyewitness, identified as Baba Nura said;

I was nearby when I heard a loud explosion. I rushed to the scene and saw that the fuel tanker had burst and the fire surrounded almost everywhere in the filling station,”

Also confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Shi’isu Adam said the command received a distress call around 8pm

“We immediately rushed to the scene with the fire service men. For now, there is no report of deaths, but our men are at the moment at the scene of the incident and details would be released later,” the PPRO added.
