“We are still assessing the extent of the damage, but it’s clear that this was a deliberate act of violence aimed at disrupting the electoral process,” said a party official, who wished to remain anonymous.

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission has confirmed that all sensitive materials have been distributed to the various local government areas, and the polls will proceed as scheduled.

The police have promised to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice. However, the party has expressed concerns about the safety of its members and the integrity of the electoral process.

“This is a clear attempt to intimidate and cow our party, but we will not be deterred. We will continue to stand for democracy and the rule of law,” said Chief Tony Okocha, APC chairman in Rivers State.
