President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for the rehabilitation of a building set to house the Ministry of Livestock Development.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, shared the news during an inspection of the building in Abuja’s Central Business District.

The building in question is the former Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, which will be repurposed for the new ministry.

While Wike didn’t disclose the project’s cost, he mentioned that no contractor has been awarded the project yet.

This development comes as Tinubu’s administration expands its ministries to 29, with the creation of the new Ministry of Livestock Development.
