Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has praised Arsenal’s William Saliba as one of the Premier League’s top centre-backs.
Mbappe believes Saliba has the potential to start for France at Euro 2024, noting his significant role at Arsenal.
Saliba’s impressive performances over two consecutive seasons with the Gunners have earned him a spot in France’s Euro squad.

Despite his accomplishments, Saliba currently ranks behind Bayern Munich’s Dayot Upamecano and Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konate in Didier Deschamps’ selection.
“I have known him since he was very young,” Mbappe told Ouest-France. “We were in the same primary school in Bondy. We played football together during breaks, even though we weren’t in the same year, but he asked to play with us.
“This season, he has become a very important player for Arsenal and is among the best centre-backs in the Premier League.”
