Lagos to Investigate Hospital where Rico Swavey Died

The Lagos State government has promised to investigate the “unprofessional conduct” of the nurses at a hospital in the state where the ex-BBNaija star, Patrick Fakoya, aka Rico Swavey died.

Swavey wqe involved in an auto crash and went into coma before his eventual death on Thursday morning.

The development follows moments after a 30-second video revealed some nurses at the hospital acting playfully on duty leaving the life-struggling Swavey unattended to.

In the clip, Swavey was seen on a chair with one of the nurses calling for help to put him on a stretcher, whole the others were laid back even as one of them chuckled as he was filming.

One of the nurses was heard cautioning the individual with the camera against the act.

The nurse said.

You people should stop making the video; somebody is dying, you people are making video.”

On acknowledging the reports, the state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, affirmed that the state government had launched an investigation into the said hospital.

Omotoso said:

That hospital is not a government hospital. We have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video.”
