Leave APC if Not Satisfied With Consensus – Party Tells Aspirants

Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Cross River State, Alphonsus Eba, has told aggrieved aspirants to form their political parties and decamp if they are not satisfied with consensus arrangements in the ruling party.

Ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general electiona, many aspirants in the state have expressed displeasure over consensus arrangements in the APC.

Speaking over a radio programme, Eba said it is not compulsory for the aspirants to remain stuck in the ruling party when they can defect or form their own parties.

According to the party chairman: “If any one of you feels dissatisfied with the decision of the party to go for consensus candidates you can decamp to other parties who are looking for candidates and pursue your ambitions.

“Better still, you may proceed to form your own party where it can be possible to impose your candidature.

“In APC, the decision of the party is supreme.”
