Lionel Messi has become the most decorated player in football history. The Argentina captain played 60 minutes in his country’s 1-0 victory over Colombia in the 2024 Copa America final, securing his 45th career trophy.

This achievement breaks the previous record held by his former Barcelona teammate Dani Alves, who has 44 titles.

Lionel Messi has won 35 of his career titles with Barcelona and six with Argentina, including the Copa America titles in 2021 and 2024. He also earned an Olympic gold medal in Beijing in 2008.

After joining PSG in 2021, Messi added three more trophies to his collection: two Ligue 1 titles (2021-22, 2022-23) and the Trophée des Champions (2022). He also won the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina and the Leagues Cup 2023 with Inter Miami.
