Juventus legend, Marco Tardelli has suggested that Liverpool should be banned following their arrogant display against Tottenham last weekend.

The former Inter player said Jurge Klopp and his players were supposed to be given 10-match ban for their reckless tackles in the 2-2 draw with Spurs.

Italy World Cup winner said Liverpool would have been penalized but then, they were so lucky.

Following the match, referee Paul Tierney became the subject of discussion on account of the way he conducted the match.

Andy Robertson, the Reds’ left-back had originally been given a yellow card for a serious challenge on Emerson Royal of the hosting side before VAR intervened.

Reviewing the game, Tierney had to change the given yellow card to a straight red card in the 77th minute.

Harry Kane also went into the referee’s book having been handed a yellow in the first half for a serious tackle which was said to be arguably worse than that of Robertson.

Tardelli claiming that the visitors were protected in the game, added that they ought to consider themselves fortunate.

The 67-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport while comparing Liverpool to Inter: “I hear people say that Liverpool are unplayable, but no team is, especially against this Inter side.”

“The important thing is that Inter play with this same hunger and desire to play football.”

“They need a different level of intensity with Liverpool and also a better rapport with the referee.”

“The fouls that Liverpool players did against Tottenham yesterday, they’ d have received a 10-match ban in Italy. ”

“Besides, Liverpool are almost arrogant in the way they play, all too aware of how strong they are and the protection that they enjoy.”
