Liverpool vs AC Milan Friendly Ends in 4–2 Defeat.

Rafael Leão opened the scoring, and despite Dominik Szoboszlai’s thunderous equaliser before half-time, former Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s strike after the break and a brace from Noah Okafor, bookending Cody Gakpo’s late header, sealed Milan’s win.

A sold-out crowd of 49,704 – overwhelmingly backing the Reds, also paid tribute to the late Diogo Jota.

Liverpool icon Kenny Dalglish laid flowers pitch-side, and supporters held up a “DJ20” mosaic in honour of Jota’s retired number.

Leão added his own tribute with a silent prayer and “20” finger salute after netting the opener.

Liverpool now heads to Japan to face Yokohama F. Marinos as their Asian tour continues.

With the new season approaching, they’ll look to shore up their defence and sharpen their attack in the remaining friendlies.
