Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, acknowledged that his players are feeling fatigued. Addressing the media on Friday ahead of their Premier League fixture against Luton Town, Guardiola expressed concern over the team’s mounting injury list, describing the situation as “big, big trouble.”
Despite their pursuit of a second consecutive treble of major trophies, Guardiola hinted at the physical toll the season has taken on his squad. The comments come after midfielder Rodri admitted to needing a rest following their 3-3 draw with Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final earlier in the week.
“I need to rest the centre halves also but in [England’s] friendly games, [John Stones and Kyle Walker] got injured so they cannot rest. We are in big, big trouble.

“I had the feeling we were tired in the last games. We will decide tomorrow what we have to do,” Guardiola said.
