On August 19, the midfielder collapsed suddenly in front of his mother, leaving her devastated.
Paramedics arrived quickly but all efforts to resuscitate him proved abortive.
The 30-year-old had joined Castell’Azzara in June after passing his medical tests and was ready to take part in his very first training session on August 20.
The club, stunned by the news, expressed its sorrow and said he was excited for a fresh start but will now be remembered forever.
In his hometown, people admired Aluisi not just for his talent on the pitch but also for how much he gave back to the community.
Aluisi came through Virtus Marta’s system, where club president Massimo Natali shared a heartfelt memory:
“He had played with us since he was a child, always showing passion and dedication. He was a kind, sensitive young man who took part in community activities. His memory will live on in all of us.”
Football ran deep in his family as well. His father Marco, who is currently a Viterbo police officer, used to play for Ischia di Castor and Virtus Marta, their hometown team.
The sudden loss of Luca has left both the local community and the wider football world in shock.
ASD Castell’Azzara, along with his former teammates, continue to pay tribute to his dedication and character.
Meanwhile, the club promised that every training session, match, and goal will now carry his memory.
Supporters, friends, and fellow players have also poured out their condolences to his family during this difficult time.
