Madami Garba Madami, a member representing Chikun Constituency in the Kaduna House of Assembly, has died.
Daily Report Nigeria understands that Madami was unable to partake in the inauguration of the 10th State Assembly members on June 13, 2023.
The ex-lawmaker died in the hospital on Saturday, June 17 after receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
Ibrahim Sale, the Ardo Ardodin and traditional title holder from Madami’s constituency confirmed the incident on Saturday.

The state Governor, Senator Uba Sani, expressed his condolences to the immediate family and the Chikun constituency.

Sani acknowledged that Madami was known for promoting peaceful coexistence and was greatly respected.
The governor said:
“God grant the soul of Madami eternal rest and comfort his family, associates, friends, and constituents he left behind.
“In his lifetime, Madami, served as Member, representing Chikun Constituency, in the Kaduna State House of Assembly; Chairman of Chikun Local Government Area; Commissioner of Planning and Budget and Special Adviser Political, to Late Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa.”
