Magu Released From Detention After 9 Days

Embattled suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu has been released from detention after spending nine days.

Magu was released by from the custody of the Force Criminal Investigation Department following the orders of the Presidential Investigation Committee.

Recall that the counsel to Magu, Mr. Wahab Shittu, had filed for an application for bail on Friday last noweek.

According to Shittu, Magu was set free at about 6pm on Wednesday and has since rejoined his family in his Maitama residence.
