Kefas Usman, a 31-year-old man, has been sentenced to 12 months imprisonment for intimidating his former girlfriend in Abuja.
The conviction was made by a Grade I Area Court in Kabusa, Abuja on September 14, 2023.

The judge, Abubakar Sadiq, summarily sentenced Usman after he pleaded guilty and requested leniency.
However, Sadiq also provided an option of a N20,000 fine.
The charges against the Suspect included criminal intimidation, causing mischief, and escape from police custody.
The prosecution explained that he threatened his ex-girlfriend, Eunice Samuel, and damaged her phone worth N36,000 during an argument.
Despite attempting to escape custody, the convict was rearrested.
The Judge added that the offence committed by Usman violated sections 397 and 326 of the Penal Code.
