A man has been sentenced to a lifetime in jail for the murder of his girlfriend in South Africa.
According to reports, the man, Josaya Ndlozi, 51, was said to have murdered his girlfriend, Sophie Phumzile Malele, after accusing her of cheating.

The man appeared before a Mpumalanga Division of the High Court in South Africa on Tuesday, August September 3, as he was automatically declared unfit to posses a firearm in terms of Section 103 of the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000.
It was gathered that the deceased had earlier demanded for a protection order against Ndlozi and one of the conditions was for the accused not to assault, threaten, or harass the deceased as their relationship was volatile.
The duo were said to have engaged in an argument in the morning of February 8, 2023, which resulted to the accused stabbing Malele with a knife in her upper body and she fell.
After realising that Malele was not moving, he informed one of his neighbours and the police.
Malele was declared dead on the scene and the accused was arrested. Malele’s cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries to the neck.

While appearing before the court, the accused pleaded guilty to the crime of murder.
While delivering his judgement, Acting judge Manthata said the accused took away tye rights of life from the victim, and allowed three minors be without a mother.
He found no reasons justifying deviation from the prescribed minimum sentence of life imprisonment.
