A man identified as Arepamowei Koru, was on Tuesday, January 24 arrested for allegedly beating his 22-year-old lover, Toma Serve-god Angolo, to death in Ogobiri community, Sagbama local government area.
It was gathered that the two lovers were cohabiting in the man’s community before the tragic incident occurred.
They were said to have had a minor misunderstanding which degenerated into a fight.

The suspect during the fight hit the victim on her body causing her to bleed.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
The police spokesman in Bayelsa State, SP Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect has been arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
