A middle-aged man has been arrested by a vigilante group for allegedly defiling and impregnating his teenage daughter.
The accused, identified as David Akpokpokpo, was said to have raped his daughter, Mercy Akpokpokpo, in Amukpe area of Sapele, Delta State.
David was said to have threatened his daughter not to tell anyone, or he would kill her, but the daughter couldn’t hear it anymore, and reported the issue to the vigilante group in Amukpe on Friday, August 27.
It was gathered that the rape resulted to pregnancy and birth of a three month old baby.
During interrogation, the man claimed to have slept with his daughter only once under the influence of alcohol but the victim countered him, saying that her father raped her four times.
