Man Throws Woman Out of Moving Train For Refusing S3xual Assault

A 30-year-old woman has been killed after she was thrown out of a moving train for fighting back against a man attempting to sexually assault her.

This happened on Thursday evening while she was travelling with her 9-year-old son from Lakhan Majra to Tohana in northern India.

According to the Police, the 28-year-old man (who claimed to be drunk) approached the woman in a train that had the three of them as the only passengers.

He had attempted to molest the woman but she fought back before he reportedly pushed her from the moving train and fled.

The victim’s body was found on the railway track near Tohana station and the fleeing man has been arrested, according to reports.

After seeing the woman alone with a child, he tried to molest her. As she fought back, the accused pushed her off the train and fled the spot,” railway police sub-inspector Jagdish Singh said in quotes as reported.

The woman’s husband was waiting at Tohana station in the state of Haryana. When the train arrived, he found his child alone and crying, before the boy explained to his father what had happened.

My wife called me when she was 20 kilometres away and asked me to come to the station and pick them up,” the woman’s husband told the police.

The woman and her son were returning home from a visit to her parents.

Police in Fatehabad confirmed the suspect’s identity as Sandeep Kumar from the nearby town of Kalwan.

“Sandeep is a drug addict and was drunk when the incident took place,” said Fatehabad police superintendent Astha Modi.

Kumar was further charged with murder and assault plus criminal use of force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
