Manchester United and Brazil’s Casemiro, a prominent midfielder in the modern game, has revealed the three players he considers the “greatest” of his generation. 

His impressive career includes five Champions League triumphs with Real Madrid and a pivotal role in helping Manchester United secure the Carabao Cup after a six-year drought.

In an interview with Placar magazine, Casemiro praised Lionel Messi, acknowledging the mark he left in football.

Despite being rivals with Barcelona and Argentina, Casemiro expressed admiration for Messi’s talent and described it as a pleasure to have played against him.

Furthermore, Casemiro highlighted the top three players in his generation: Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar.

He believes they stand out as the best, even though he had the opportunity to watch Brazilian Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane play during his career.

Casemiro expressed gratitude for not having to face Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch, as he had already given him numerous titles and victories during their time at Real Madrid.
