Manchester City is reportedly considering Bayer Leverkusen’s head coach, Xabi Alonso, as a potential replacement for Pep Guardiola if the current boss decides to leave when his contract ends in 2025. According to Diario AS, Real Madrid is also keen on hiring Alonso, making them the only other major competitor for his services.
Alonso has gained attention for his remarkable performance as Bayer Leverkusen’s head coach, leading the team to the Bundesliga title. Meanwhile, there have been rumors that the former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder could replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool after the season.
Despite the interest from several big clubs, Alonso has stated that he plans to continue his coaching career with Bayer Leverkusen.
