Manchester United and Napoli Could Swap Osimhen and Højlund, Says Italian Agent

Italian agent Andrea D’Amico has suggested the possibility of a swap deal between Manchester United and Napoli involving Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Højlund.

According to D’Amico, United could acquire Victor in exchange for Højlund moving to Napoli. The potential swap deal is part of United’s strategy under new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe to change their fortunes by bringing in high-profile players like Osimhen.

United is also prepared to offload high-earning players who are surplus to requirements to make room for new signings. Raphaël Varane and Anthony Martial are set to leave Old Trafford as free agents, while Casemiro may also depart after a disappointing end to the season.

Højlund, who scored 16 goals in all competitions in his debut season at Old Trafford, could be sacrificed in the deal, although Osimhen is seen as a significant upgrade over the former Atalanta forward.

D’Amico informed TEAMtalk that United might be open to sending Rasmus Højlund to Napoli in exchange for Victor.

“The future of Osimhen? It’s difficult to say now, we’re in May and it’s not a small deal so we’ll have to wait,” he said.

“He speaks English, the Premier League is the most important championship in the world. He doesn’t go to Barcelona and Real Madrid and if he doesn’t go to PSG or Bayern either, he will only be left with the Premier League.

“Osimhen-Hojlund exchange with United? It’s feasible, Manchester United respects the characteristics where Osimhen could play, in short, it’s a plausible scenario.”
