  • Amorim drops five Manchester United players from preseason.

  • Most were loaned out last season and face exits.

  • The rebuild has begun with Cunha signed and Mbeumo targeted.

Manchester United boss Rúben Amorim has told five players they can’t join preseason work at Carrington.

He’s asked Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia to sort out their summer exits—either a permanent move or a loan.

That straight-up order makes it clear he wants nothing less than their full dedication.

All five had already made it clear last season they wanted away from Old Trafford.

Garnacho, Sancho, Rashford, Anthony and one other Manchester United player asked to leave the club

In January, Rashford moved to Aston Villa.

Sancho spent the year at Chelsea, Antony played for Real Betis and Malacia turned out for PSV.

Although Garnacho remained at Old Trafford, he now sits outside Amorim’s plans.

Amorim is demanding discipline and togetherness as he rebuilds his squad.

He’s already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves and now has his sights on Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

Expect more arrivals and departures at Manchester United as the transfer window really kicks off.
