Manchester United and Manchester City are set to face off again in the Community Shield in August.

This rematch comes after their clash in the FA Cup final on Saturday, where Manchester United secured a 2-1 victory at Wembley. Goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo gave United a two-goal lead in the first half. Jeremy Doku managed to score for City late in the game, but it was only a consolation.

The win allowed Erik ten Hag to end the season with a trophy. Now, United will play against City, the Premier League champions, in the Community Shield to kick off the 2024-2025 season.
