Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Dr. Samuel Uche, has said that many state governors did not win elections but rather declared winners by the judiciary system.

Dr. Uche while at the Methodist Cathedral Church, Agbeni, Ibadan, for funeral of the late Parakoyi of Ibadanland, Chief Bode Akindele, who died at the age of 87, disclosed this.

According to Dr. Uche, electoral victories were given to some undeserving governors through the court of law.

“There is one political party here in Nigeria, even when you don’t win an election the party would give you victory through the Supreme Court.

“Many governors are supreme court governors, they didn’t win (election) and are not supposed to be there. This is lawlessness and that is why I call some of our courts, court of lawlessness,” He said.

He also condemned the massive looting of the nation’s treasury, and the growing insecurity in the country, as it is retarding the development of the country.
