M@d Man Stabs Passerby To Death In Niger

• A mad man has been taken into custody by the police over alleged murder.

• The suspect was said to have engaged in a fight with the deceased, before proceeding to stab him.

• The mentally deranged man is said to be a known scavenger in the area, before the incident occurred.

Men of the Niger State Police command have arrested a mentally deranged man for murder.

According to reports, the mad man, simply identified as Mubarak stabbed 25-year-old man, Shamseen Danshehu, to death.

This happened on Sunday, March 23 in the Kwangila area of Minna, Niger State.

An eyewitness who confirmed the incident said the duo engaged in a fight, which went south, and the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest.

He was rushed to the nearby Minna General hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

Confirming the arrest to PUNCH on Monday, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Wasiu Abiodun said;

It was reported that one Mubarak, who is suspected of insanity and also scavenging around Kwangila, had a fight with a passerby, Shamsu Danshehu 25 years of the same area. During the fight, the said scavenger stabbed Shamsu on the chest with scissors,” 

“The victim was rushed to the general hospital but gave up the ghost in the hospital and confirmed d3ad. The suspect was arrested for further investigation,” Abiodun added
