Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admitted he felt “sad” after Spain defeated England in the Euro 2024 final on July 14.
Arteta’s disappointment stemmed from the fact that Arsenal players Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice were part of the England squad that lost 2-1 to Spain.
Speaking before Arsenal’s pre-season match against Bournemouth on Thursday, Arteta expressed his pride in Spain’s victory but also his empathy for his players.
